We have begone an impressive ship building program to defend our shores from any who think they can place the yoke on us again. Our army is growing in numbers. Then I have to concede having a 'lettering' instead of some image or heraldic device does not 'look' very "Lace Wars", but rather 'Revolutionary'. What about adding the Dragon (of the Order of that name) in the center?
ReplyDeleteGold on white (silver) is against the 'laws' of heraldry, but has some prestigious and venerable precedents -the banner of the Kingdom of Outremer (of Jerusalem) to start with.
