The Beerstein Army in the service of Austria tries to stop the advance of the Sicilian Army in their quest to free all of Italy. The two armies met just south of Rome. It was a bloody battle. In the end the Beerstein army was spent with the Sicilians cutting off the Beerstein right flank forces trying to take a Farm and clearly holding the center of the field. The swirling cavalry battle on the Sicilian right flank was generally inconclusive but with the Sicilian Guard now joining the fight the Beerstein cavalry decided the battle was lost and left the field. The Sicilian army was too bloodied to pursue.
